Jennifer is a licensed addiction counselor and mental health therapist offering
remote services. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Emporia State University in
Clinical Counseling and Rehabilitation, and associate’s degree in Substance Abuse
Treatment. She received her master’s degree in Social Welfare from the University
of Kansas and has experience in a variety of occupations from treatment centers
and universities to hospitals (ICU) and hospice care. As a certified MBTI
practitioner, she’s helped students on academic probation, stay in school, focus on
their education, and find job placements/potential career paths suited to their
strengths. Jennifer has worked extensively with clients on an individual basis, but
also enjoys facilitating and observing the evolution of a group. Her most recent
work has been centered on hospice care as a bereavement counselor and Chaplain,
where she aided individuals and families through the physical and emotional
aspects of coping with loss. Her experience providing psychological and spiritual
care to those navigating the process of death and dying, has also been a personal
learning opportunity. On this journey, she discovered the therapeutic power of
music and the joy of animal therapy. She volunteers her time and talents in nursing
facilities, care centers and hospitals playing the accordion and traveling with her
certified ESA companion, a 3lb Yorkie named Teddy Bear.
